Rockynats 2021 Rockhampton Qld 31/04/2021 to 06/05/2021

6 club members headed off from Brisbane & the Gold Coast on the Wednesday night. We were to meet up with Dave & Di at the BP Caboolture for the fist hike of the journey. While we were waiting for Dave & Di, we struck up a conversation with a couple of police officers, as per Mandi’s request they parked their police car between our cars and put the lights on for a picture.

Dave & Di then arrived, we headed off to our stop for the night at Villa Mirasol Motor Inn Bundaberg, owned by our great friends Peter & Evelyn always great to catch up with them both. Evelyn cooked us all a wonderful breakfast in the morning before taking off to our accommodation at Yeppoon before attending scrutineering at 5:30pm that same afternoon.

Day 1 on the Friday we all did the street parade thru the streets of Rockhampton. There were so many beautiful cars the highest windscreen sticker number we saw was 1299 it was a huge turnout. After the street parade we headed over to the merchandise stall to pick up some goodies. We than went over to the burnout to check it out.

Day 2 we went to the Burnouts, street drags, drifting & show & shine to check out all the gorgeous cars at the end of the day we headed back over to the burnouts we waited for an hour and due to the rain, they were cancelled.

Day 3 was rained out and all events were cancelled, Dave & Darryl spent the day sorting out Bubble Bee with no luck due to parts, his carbie & fuel regulator had an issue.

Day 4 with Bumble Bee on the trailer Darryl picked up a fuel regulator from an entrant that came all the way to Rockynats from Darwin in his Holden, we then headed off to Maryborough for the night as part of our drive home. The following morning Darryl picked up a needle & seat from Autobarn and the Bumble Bee was all systems go again for the drive home. Thank you all that attended for a great weekend you are all a great bunch of people. Special thanks to our head mechanic and towing ace Dave Fuller.

Cunungra Classic Cars 30.01.2021

A few members headed out to the Moriarty Park Hall for Cunungra Classic Cars Cruise Night.

When we arrived, it was a huge turn out with all the cars parking on the grass lined up beside each other in many rows, some rows 25 cars long.

There was live music, heaps of kids rides and a huge variety of different food trucks. We had the Brazilian BBQ at it was amazing. I would say there would have been a couple of hundred cars on display. Thanks to the organisers for a great event, we all had an awesome time. Until the next cruise, drive it like you stole it!!

Cabbage Tree Point Cruise 17.01.2021

4 of our members took their cars out for a cruise after meeting up at the 7-Eleven at exit 49. We all headed for the fish & chip shop at Jacobs Well to grab some lunch for a picnic.

We then headed for Cabbage Tree Point and found a nice grassy area on the water where we sat and enjoyed our lunch and a cold drink. There was no parking there as the carpark was full, so we parked in an area out of the way next to where we sat for lunch. (Some great parking by Sharron)

After lunch we headed to Yatala Industrial Estate for a few pictures with the graffiti wall in the background. It was another great little cruise thanks to all that attended, until the next run drive it like you stole it!!

American Muscle at it’s finest.
