Hi, I am Mick Voss and I was invited to join the Curvettes and Potbellies by Markos Christofos. The appeal to the club for me was being with people I already knew, be in a car club that was small, and any type of vehicle was accepted.

I currently reside on the Gold Coast and have a workshop come Man Cave in Biggera Waters. I am semi-retired and enjoy importing vehicles and cool stuff from the USA and fixing them up. I currently have way too many projects than I should, but I am slowly getting through them. I have an awfully bad habit of impulse buying so I will probably never catch up.

My current vehicles are as follows:
1970 Pontiac Trans Am (Air Ram 111)
2004 Monaro
1989 Toyota GT4 Rally/race car
1986 Corvette (will be sold once complete)
1983 Trident Police Trike
1973 VW Beach Buggy
2003 Pro Street Chopper
2005 Ironhorse Tejas Chopper
1970 Pontiac Trans Am (Air Ram 111)

This car was purchased through Copart auctions in USA, I took a gamble and thought that the fire damage to the car was not started because of the car, it was just in a building that caught fire. The gamble turned out to be correct and I am very happy with the purchase.

The important gear if you are interested is as follows:
– It has a 1974 460ci (.030) over 700+hp. The block is a four bolt main, part#, 3999289, marked Hi Perf.
– It is equipped with 8 to 1 forged pistons, heavy duty wide GM “H” beam 7/16 rods, polished steel crank, stainless “O” rings installed, with copper head gaskets. The 1974 heads are rectangular cast iron jumbo valved, part# 6272990, mounted with ARP studs. It was assembled with a new Comp
hydraulic cam and lifters, having .547 lift, and a duration of 280 intake 288 exhaust.
The engine is equipped with a 6-71 GMC supercharger, with twin Predators and dual Holley electric fuel pumps, high volume oil pump (90 psi pressure), 9 quart oil pan, 2inch tube headers, stay cool 12 quart aluminum radiator with 14 inch electric fan, Pro Comp electric water pump, 70 amp. alternator, trunk mounted 12 gallon fuel cell and a deep cycle battery. The transmittion is a built 400 turbo, manual shift, 3500 stall converter, Hurst ratchet shifter, and a large front mounted trans cooler. Rear axle is a narrowed 9 inch Ford, with strange axles, 9/16 NHRA approved studs. mounted on a floating leaf spring and dual latter bar suspension, drum brakes rear and disc brakes in the front with line lock. The rear tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsman 33X19.50-15, mounted on a set of ribbed
Center Lines. The fronts are Mickey Thompson competitor II, 205X50R-15, also mounted on a set of ribbed Center Lines

I plan on drag racing it, however, I don’t want it too fast, as you need too much safety gear and it starts to take the fun out of it. Ill just see what happens and go from there.
