Aka – Darryl’s 50th Birthday Run
A brave few meet up at “ Outback Spectacular ” Car park at 10.30am on an already HOT Sunday morning for our adventure up to Mount Tamborine for lunch. The Corvettes rolled up with their tops off and the Maloo had it’s air-conditioning on 16 degrees. We meet our soon to be New members – Patrick & Linda Grantham(Darryl’s Sister) and daughter Tia, who showed off their Yellow 1979 Mini. Lucky last was the Datsun 1600 (Our Club’s Support Vehicle) Up the mountain we went with a bit of traffic behind us with the glorious sun beating down on us, to our lunch destination – Tamborine Diner. A large selection of “Diner” style food was on offer and cold drinks to wash it down and cool us down as well. With lots of Laughs had by all.
